Blu-Ray pips HD DVD, as this news item claims. We are yet see how things sum up in the coming days. Both technologies have their supporters and I feel none is willing to retreat from the battle lines.
Here is a detailed article on Engaget about what the technologies hold and who is supporting whom, though a tad dated, not much seems to have changed. Personally, I will go with whichever technology is cheaper and can be retrofitted on my dual layer DVD capable DELL.
